The Same Issues Over And Over Again

By Mark Gungor

Couples can get very discouraged when they keep facing the same issues, debates and arguments over and over.

They think that once something is discussed, it should be taken care of and the mess is gone forever...but that's not true.

It's like being a dairy farmer cleaning up after the cows -- there is a reoccurring mess to contend with!

What if the farmer went out to the barn one time, took care of all of the poo, and then expected it to never come back? That would make no sense at all.

It's exactly the same in marriage where we have to keep cleaning up and dealing with the mess...even if it's the same stuff over and over.

Because we are fallible human beings, living in a fallen world, we can mess up repeatedly and we just have to be willing to deal with it.
