By Jim Stephens with help from Sheri & Bob Stritof

Summary of this article

I'll be on my vacation for a few days, but I have prepared some Tips for you that should get your creative juices flowing.

"Love Notes" to your spouse are a 5 minute effort that can be a life changer. Buy a pack of note cards, inspirational cards, 3 x 5 cards, or just a pad of plain paper.

Pick a regular time once a week when you will write the note. Then hang onto it for a random amount of time. Surprise is part of the fun. Hide it in a place that is unique each time but will surely be found.

Before writing I suggest you put your hand on your heart. (Just learned about this recently.) This helps you tap into your deepest feelings for your spouse. Write the note. Here are some suggestions for what the content could be:

* Expressing Love
* Offering Respect
* Gratitude or Thanks for ...
* Appreciation for ...
* Affirmation of ...
* An Apology for ...
* A Joke
* An Inspiration
* A dream or goal
* Your Choice

Try it, you'll like it.

Where To Leave Love Notes

By Sheri & Bob Stritof, About.com

It appears that the most popular places to leave love notes is somewhere in your kitchen or bathroom.

Regardless of where you leave or hide a love note for your spouse to find, writing the note and taking time to find a unique place for it says loudly that you are still very much in love with your spouse.

Here are room-by-room suggestions for where to leave love notes for your spouse to find. Contributions from many friends and writers.

Where to Leave Love Notes - - Home Office

· A stickynote on the first page of the dayplanner.

· I just opened my laptop this morning and my boyfriend had left a love note!

· On your screen saver! And it needs to be something that you don't mind sharing with anyone who sees your computer. In our version of Windows, you go Start > Settings > Control Panel > Display > Screen Saver, then choose 'marquee display' and type in your message.

· Via email message.

· Through a cell phone text message.

· Through greeting card web sites.

· My husband is always using the computer so I leave him notes either on the screen saver or tucked inside the laptop so when he opens it there's a little note from me.

· I clip them to his phone.

· I changed my name in his cell phone directory to say "I LOVE YOU" instead of my name when I call him.

· I mailed one to my husband's office. It was completely unexpected and he was excited to receive it!

· Add your own ideas
