Love Notes Made Easy - Part 7

By Jim Stephens with help from Sheri & Bob Stritof

Summary of this article - Last one (finally)

I'll be on my vacation for a few days, but I have prepared some Tips for you that should get your creative juices flowing.

"Love Notes" to your spouse are a 5 minute effort that can be a life changer. Buy a pack of note cards, inspirational cards, 3 x 5 cards, or just a pad of plain paper.

Pick a regular time once a week when you will write the note. Then hang onto it for a random amount of time. Surprise is part of the fun. Hide it in a place that is unique each time but will surely be found.

Before writing I suggest you put your hand on your heart. (Just learned about this recently.) This helps you tap into your deepest feelings for your spouse. Write the note. Here are some suggestions for what the content could be:

* Expressing Love
* Offering Respect
* Gratitude or Thanks for ...
* Appreciation for ...
* Affirmation of ...
* An Apology for ...
* A Joke
* An Inspiration
* A dream or goal
* Your Choice

Try it, you'll like it.

Where To Leave Love Notes

By Sheri & Bob Stritof, About.com

It appears that the most popular places to leave love notes is somewhere in your kitchen or bathroom.

Regardless of where you leave or hide a love note for your spouse to find, writing the note and taking time to find a unique place for it says loudly that you are still very much in love with your spouse.

Here are room-by-room suggestions for where to leave love notes for your spouse to find. Contributions from many friends and writers.

Where to Leave Love Notes - - Garage, Outdoors, Misc.

· On work bench.

· In work bench drawer.

· In a fishing tackle box.

· I repainted the porch and at the very bottom I painted 143 (1=I, 4=love, and 3=you, for the ones who are wondering what that means) in the corner so when he lifted the carpet to finish trimming it, he saw it ...it's still there.

· I write it in sidewalk chalk where he parks or up the steps to the house.

· Why not send it in the mail. Let them know they are really special.

· I printed 100 post-its that all said "I LOVE YOU" on them and hid them all over the house in places he would look. For example: In his shirt pocket, in the pizza box in the fridge, in his medicine cabinet... It was so much fun. The best part is because it's been a couple of months now and he still finds them places and he says it brings a smile to his face each time.

· The most personal one is a card. Place a stamp on it and mail it to him. He loves getting something in the mail besides bills.

· Add your own ideas
