90 Percent of Women Donate Their Organs If Asked

Article by Jim Stephens, based on Dr. John Gray's, Mars-Venus material

Here is an amazing statistic. When you write your will or get a driver's license or some other situation where you are given the opportunity to donate your organs to help others after you die, 90 percent of women will check the box that says "Yes". Even after they die, they will be trying to help others.

What do you think the percentage is for men? It's exactly the opposite. Only 10 percent of men check the box to donate their organs.

The way women's brains are actually designed allows them to always be considering others and anticipating their emotions, sensitivities, and needs. They remember whether you take cream or sugar or both in your coffee and how much. They remember all their daughter's friends' likes and dislikes and food choices.

Men's brains on the other hand are much more acutely aware of their own needs and how their body is functioning so that they can accomplish their goal. For thousands of years, men were the hunters because they were better suited to survive on their own in the wild and return home with food.

Women's survival depended more on their relationship abilities in the groups, helping each other, and taking care of each other.

It doesn't naturally occur to a man to think ahead about taking care of another person. He has to make much more effort to do it than a woman. In fact if a woman could really understand how hard it is for a man to think ahead and anticipate her needs, she would really appreciate him much more when he does it. His brain doesn't work the way hers does.

Women often feel neglected or unloved when the man waits until the last minute to plan his time with her. But if she understood this was more likely because of the wiring in his brain rather than his not caring, she could be much more forgiving.

There are many very real differences also in the way men and women estimate time, judge speed, do math, orient themselves in space, and visualize objects in 3-D. Men tend to excel more in these areas.

Both genders have their inborn strengths and weaknesses. By working as a team, greater happiness is achieved for all of the family and community.
