Are You a Tightwad Married To a Gift Needing Spouse?
By Dr. Gary Chapman
So, you have discovered that your spouse's primary "Love Language" is receiving gifts. However, you are a saver not a spender. You don't purchase things for yourself. Why should you purchase things for your spouse? "We need to save our money", you say.
Okay, what is important in life? Do you value your marriage? Would you like to have an intimate relationship? Then nothing is more important than speaking your spouse's Love Language.
Look at it this way, you are investing in your relationship and filling the love tank of your spouse.
With a full love tank it is easier for him or her to reach out and speak your Love Language. When both persons' emotional needs are met, your marriage will take on a whole new dimension.
You will always be a saver, but to invest in loving your spouse is to invest in blue chip stocks.
Don't wait for birthdays and anniversaries. Give your spouse a gift today. If your spouse is shocked and asks, "What have you done?" Just tell them that you read today's marriage tip and got motivated.
